Who do we work with?
We feel it’s important to work collaboratively with organisations aiming for the same goals – to maximise the potential of children. We’ve teamed up with the following organisations so that families have more information, better support, and life can become easier.
NICE Charity – Centre For Movement Disorders
NICE is a small charity based in Birmingham with the biggest of hearts, working miracles for local families affected by physical disability. We specialise in helping individuals with incurable movement disorders, such as children born with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other genetic conditions, as well as adults recovering from a stroke, to push the boundaries of their own potential.
Moti Me
Moti Me is a fun, medically tested children’s product designed to support physiotherapy and physical development through play. Developed alongside healthcare professionals, parents and children with additional needs, it helps make therapy more engaging and accessible at home, school and in clinical settings.
Oswestry Standing Frames
We are a family run business situated in the heart of the Ceiriog valley, in North Wales. We've been manufacturing Standing frames for over 50 years and also manufacture cots for disabled children. Everything we make is hand crafted and bespoke and we take huge pride in our products.

Is my child suitable for Targeted Training therapy?
The Movement Centre offer a free assessment for every child who we believe may be suitable child to determine if we feel they may benefit. The best thing you can do is call and have a chat to one of our therapy team.
How much does a course of Targeted Training therapy cost?
Nothing. This kind of care costs a lot to provide, but thanks to our generous supporters, The Movement Centre is able to offer fully-funded Targeted Training Therapy.
How often will we have to visit The Movement Centre?
You will be expected to visit The Movement Centre every 8 weeks. Research has shown that this is the optimum time for a child to learn control, and so assessing the child at these 8 week intervals is really important for us to change their level of control in the standing frame. It is also important that the standing frame is reviewed every 8 weeks at The Movement Centre.
Can we keep the standing frame at the end of the course?
No. The standing frame that your child will be using through the course of therapy is on a hire agreement and must be returned to The Movement Centre at the end of the course
Can my child have more than one course of therapy?
If our Physiotherapists feel that your child is still progressing and there is still potential for them to get stronger, then there is potential of more treatment.
Will we have support between sessions?
Of course! We are always here to support every family that attends The Movement Centre. One of our specialist Physiotherapists are always on the other end of the phone for you to contact. We also have our Facebook page, email and our Family Support Group on Facebook. We also give fundraising advice, support, and if you need materials then do get in contact.
Is there free parking available at The Movement Centre?
Yes. There are disabled parking spaces outside The Movement Centre (Building 106). These are available to visitors to The Movement Centre. If you do not have a blue badge we can provide a parking permit.
